We can hide it well, but we’re experts. We employ experts. We train future experts. There are folks here who can diagnose the perfect shoe here just by watching you walk. We’re that good.
But what do WE wear? Sport Seasons is an operation with many different jobs, so we all wear different things. Some of us are on our feet most of the day, others toil away making pretty pictures at their PC. No two people are built the same. Plus, we have lives outside of here.
So for your entertainment, I sent out an email company wide that read:
We need to know what shoes you wear here, and why.
Then I gave a couple modest answers:
Shoes: Merrell World Legend
“They go good with jeans, the sticky rubber on the bottom works good on wet streets when I wear them downtown, and they slip on and off easily when I travel.”
Shoes: Nike Air Pegasus 29+
“They hug the bottom of my feet, and they’re VERY light. Just enough cushion and flexibility to go with my running style.”
Ronnie, TrinketMan (Knoxville)
Shoes: Converse high-tops.
I didn’t stop wearing them when all the girls wanted to be Punky Brewster and I won’t stop wearing them because hipsters can’t find their own style.

Shoe: depends on the outfit for the day…..
Teva Flip Flops –any time the weather is above 60… I have over 20 pairs….
Mizuno Creation – when the day calls for more activity than just sitting @ the computer… I have 5 different color ways….
Nike Rift Leather – when neither of the above matches.. – black and white because those colors are neutrals and with match any outfit.
Lance: Licensed Apparel Buyer
Shoes: Either adidas Superstar or adidas Samoa ( more comfy that all them fancy shmancy shoes )
Socks: SwiftWick 4” wool ( I wear these year round. They are fairly warm in the winter, but stay dry in the Spring/Summer)
Vic, Warhouse/Rivergate
More of these are coming in as I type this. So stop by here next week. Please.
