2014: The Richland Creek Run in its 8th Year

Nashville Greenways

Registration has begun for Nashville’s 8th annual Richland Creek Run to be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014. The Richland Creek Run benefits Greenways for Nashville which is a key organization in the expansion of Nashville’s greenways. If you are like me you might ask, “What is a greenway?” These are trails and parks that link schools, neighborhoods, shopping areas, recreational areas and other places you might want to go in the community. Think of it as an alternate route for getting where you want to go in Nashville on foot or on bike. In an interview last year with Renee Bates, Executive director of Greenways for Nashville, we learned just how the Richland Creek Run raises funds and awareness for the greenways.

This year’s race registration has started and you can do so at BlueSombrero.com. Runners and walkers will start and end the race at the Cohn Adult Learning Center. Runners have an 8 am start and walkers 8:05 am. This year will also include the Kids’ Race to also start at Cohn.

Our fitness partner, Stephanie Surratt will be running that Saturday in the Richland Creek Run. Also, Sport Seasons is proud to host the 2014 packet pickup at our Lions Head Village location. Details about time and date TBA.
