Let me start by saying Saucony has come a very long way with their shoes in the last few years. I have been wearing Saucony running shoes for at least 15 years. I have always loved them. They make great neutral, cushion running shoes. However, for years they weren’t exactly cute or fashionable. In fact my husband, who loves shoes and doesn’t run, always used to comment on how NOT attractive they were when I would bring them home. He would always ask me if I asked for the ugliest shoe. Then I would proceed to explain that I buy for comfort and not fashion when it comes to my running shoes. Finally a few years ago they stepped up their game when they came out with the Saucony Rides that were yellow and hot pink.
The last several Triumphs I have bought have been much better looking. I do have to say though, this new Saucony Triumph ISO 2 is hands down not only the cutest yet, it is the most comfortable as well. They are lightweight and breathable, and they still have plenty of cushion. This is the second revision with the ISO technology, but it is the first with the Everun technology.
Everun is a new type of cushion that helps you run stronger and longer. It has an extra layer of cushioning that is closer to the foot. It is worth going to this link to read about the new technology and to even watch the video. Trust me this is no gimmick! The shoes do exactly what they say and they feel light weight than any shoes I have worn in while. When you like a good bit of cushioning like I do, sometimes shoes can feel heavy. This shoe is not the case. I also love the look of the shoe, it isn’t bulky at all. From my very first run in them, I could tell I loved them and they were extremely flexible. In the past I have had issues with the flexibility of the sole of the Triumph. That is not the case anymore.
I highly recommend this shoe. Even if you have tried Saucony in the past and not had luck, it is worth another shot. They have revamped everything, and they are aiming to please and impress. For me, they have definitely accomplished their mission!
