If you’re anything like me, you re just now recovering from back to school. I have mixed feelings about school verses summer. I enjoy the late nights outside during summer and I love long Saturdays at the pool. However, towards the end I am fairly sure my kids argued way more than they got along!
One thing that always stresses me out is back to school shopping. With four kids, all with very different and strong opinions on what they wear, it can be a challenge. One thing that we had great luck with this year was back to school shoes. So I thought I would share a few of my family’s favorites, just in case you’re in the market for new shoes for your kids. (man those feet grow fast!)
1. Rock some Chuck Taylor’s.
For the first time this year, all three of my girls got Chuck Taylor’s. Two chose high tops, and one chose low tops. The great things about these shoes is that they go with just about anything! My girls are 5, 9, and about to be 13 so the shoes are really great for any age.
2. Don’t forget Nike Free’s.
They all also got a new pair of Nike Frees as their second shoe. There is always a great selection of comfort, and they are great for school and also for playing outside. Another thing I love about these is that they hold up so well that when my oldest out grows them they are still salvageable for the next kid ready for them! (Nothing better than hand me downs!) The Nike Free is shoe the whole family should have – in our house, it’s a staple, a necessity.
Sport Seasons also has a great selection of both soccer cleats and baseball cleats. It seems like kids grow extra fast over the summer so when fall sports hit, nothing fits! My 7 year old son looks forward to new cleats every fall! Over the summer we got some great basketball shoes, which you will find in store. Somehow my son knows the name of every shoe he sees, whether it’s a Jordan or a Chris Paul, he wants it. He’s all basketball, all the time!
What I love about shopping at Sport Seasons for my kids shoes is that the whole family can shop together. My 5 year old loves to buy shoes the match her older sister’s shoes. Our trip to Sport Seasons for back to school shoes may have been the easiest and quickest errand we have yet to run for back to school! Need socks, new shoe laces, new athletic flip flops, or a gym bag for practice? You can find all of that and more at any of Sport Seasons locations.
Here’s to a great year and to surviving fall sports with four kids! (When again is Christmas break?!)
