Nike Air Pegasus 27 Staff Review

We swing ungirded hips
And lightened are our eyes,
The rain is on our lips,
We do not run for prize…

The new Air Pegasus + 27

So we notice the new Nike Air Pegasus has an updated ‘feel’.   One puts feet to the pavement in these lighter shoes and notices the soft sensation of a marshmallow underneath.  The 27th version of Nike’s staple in the Bowerman series has a patented Cushlon EVA midsole configured similarly to the more expensive Zoom Vomero’s.

With only sporadic running these days, I am wearing a pair to run and work in, wearing them every day just to see how long they will feel good.  After 3 weeks they are still very cushioned, even after a short mile with the dogs and then 8 or 9 hours on the sales floor.

Nike kept a good full medium forefoot on this version, but with a less sloppy fit using a ‘bootie sleeve’, a fabric saddle attached to the tongue that hugs the instep nicely.

To keep calling myself a runner, I’ll have to add some time and mileage (does speed mowing the lawn count?).

These shoes are motivation to do just that…
